The white-painted Jutlandia deckchair picks up the thread from the old proud cruise liners, where passengers enjoyed the sun, the air and the view in comfortable deckchairs. The old elegant classic is available painted white and in untreated teak. This lounger is the exact design of the steamers used on the famous Titanic, its curves distinguishing it from the more commonly found steamer chair.

Teak
Teak is a fine wood for both outdoor and indoor furniture with a beautiful pattern, exotic scent and strong structural properties. It grows mostly in South-East Asia and is heavy, hard and stable. With its high content of naturally impregnating oils, teak is extremely resistant to wet and dry rot.

Today more than 120 employees create a line of beautiful products, that are exported all over the world. Skagerak develops, markets and sells quality products mainly of wood and other natural materials for outdoor as well as indoor use. Their products appeal primarily to customers who value high quality, design and originality. They aim to be an environment-orientated company that pays a great deal of attention to the environment, both within the company and at every stage of manufacture of their products.

"Skagerak is based on the love of wood, proud traditions of craftsmanship and respect for the sea and for the history of seafaring. The values and traditions absorbed from these sources have been crucial in all my family's endeavours, even as far back as the 19th century, when my great-great grandfather, Soren Mollebygger, built the first sawmills for sawing and working up the flotsam and jetsam of the shipwrecks, all too frequent at that time, on Skagen Odde. These raw materials provided the basis for the joinery skills for which Skagen is widely known and which live on in Denmark's carpentry traditions. Skagerak is the product of generations of our family's passion for wood - and it all began with driftwood"
lb Møller, founder of Skagerak (formerly Trip Trap)
